When Dueling Dragons opened at Islands of Adventure in the spring of 1999, who would have guessed that this ride (or rides depending on how you count) would be leaving the park in less than twenty years. While the ride was re-themed, renamed and the dueling aspect stopped, it was still iconic and closed forever in September of 2017.
Please enjoy this video of a quick walk-through of the castle queue that lead up to the loading station. This video was shot in April of 1999, before the park official opened for the first time. Video was shot with a Sony Hi8 camcorder and rendered in 60fps using Final Cut Pro.
This video contains a separate audio commentary track. A faint reference track of the original audio can be slightly heard in the background.
