How to BRAID | French & Dutch | inside-out braid

Braiding is one of my favorite basic hairstyles. It is easy, and simple, but makes hair look so summery and adorbs! A lot of people don't know how to braid, so I will show you how easy it is...And once you can braid, you can do SO MANY HAIRSTYLES!

HOW TO BRAID: (1:22)
1. Take the hair that you want to braid and split it into 3 sections.
2. Next, take one of the outside strands (from either side ) and cross it over, into the middle.
3. Next, take the strand from the other side and cross IT over into the middle.
4. Keep repeating this motion all the way down the hairstrand and you will have your basic braid!

PULL APART YOUR BRAID: ( 2:01)
1. Pull your hairtie down a little bit to loosen up the braid.
2. Starting at the top of the braid, grab the loops of the braid and pull them straight out from each other, moving down the braid as you go.
3. Once you've pull all the loops out, grab the braid and slide it upwards while holding onto the tail end of hair from the end of the braid. This sliding motion helps to re-tighten up the braid, while making it chunkier. Voila!

HOW TO FRENCH BRAID: (2:34)
1. Start out by sectioning the hair into three equal parts.
2. Do 2 rows of a Basic Braid in the hair, just to get the motion started.
3. Once you've done two rows of a basic braid, on the next row, before you cross the outside section into the middle, grab some extra hair and combine the sections together, THEN cross it over into the middle.
4. Switch to the other side, and grab some extra hair, combining it with the outside strand, THEN cross it over into the middle. The more hair you grab to combine with the outside strand, the chunkier the braid will be!

DUTCH BRAID/inside-out braid: (3:20)
1. Start it the same way as Basic braid/French braid. (Take hair and split it into 3 equal sections.)
2. Start braiding the same way you would with a basic braid, but weave the outside strand UNDER and into the middle, instead of OVER into the middle. Do 2 rows like a basic braid moving the outside strand under and into the middle.
3. Now you're ready to begin the Dutch braid. Take the next outside section that is ready to go into the middle, and ADD some hair to it. THEN, move that section under and into the middle.
4. Repeat on the other side: Take outside section on other side, ADD some hair to it, and move it UNDER and into the middle.
5. Keep repeating steps 3 & 4 until you've braided as far as you want, or there is no hair left to braid. :)
