Check out our new channel "The GrandFathers of HipHop: The Lost Pages of HipHop"... here - • YOUNG BLACKJACK ON THE BRONX RIVER STREET ... Hip Hop History Month... With all due respect... Kool Herc is not our father of HipHop... Its important to understand that Kool Herc is the same age group as our elders like Monk and the Founding Black Spades..Back in the late 1960's early 1970s as an observant immigrant.. Kool Herc learned from our elders music selection by coming to parties analyzing our elders ...Kool Herc saw the music selection that the older teenagers was "going off" to during the break parts of certain records...It became a trend around The Bronx to do creative aggressive type dance "going off" and "burnin" each other during the break parts on the dance floor... then later...After becoming deeply African-Americanized, Kool Herc became a DJ and started playing the break parts of the SAME SONGS he saw the older teenagers "going off" to... Kool Herc played the break parts of our elders music selection to the younger teenagers like Cholly Rock... and so many years later after Afrika Bambaattaa said things to the Zulu Nation... Kool HERC became "the father of hiphop" to Cholly Rock and some of the younger crowd who went to Kool Herc and Coke La Rock parties ... but to us and our elders Kool Herc adopted our Foundational American culture.... Making Kool Herc like our adopted son in HIPHOP
