Sguardi dell'Alto Egitto - 08 la Fiaba - نظرة على صعيد مصر - الاساطير

The Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo presents "Looks from Upper Egypt" by Giovanni Canova, an audio-video production by the Egyptian Center for Culture and Arts-Makan curated by Ahmed El Maghraby. These are twelve videos with unpublished and/or original music that show the activity of the Italian ethnographer Giovanni Canova in Egypt in the years 1978-1982. It is a unique and highly valuable documentation of the Egyptian cultural and intangible heritage captured at a particular moment in the history of the country and in the development of Italian ethnography. Canova reads daily life and the Egyptian landscape through a prism that is at the same time oriented towards knowledge and sharing in the events of the subjects he portrays. A visual ethnography that reflects a cultural world in danger of disappearing and a method of investigation based on recursive and reflexive interpretation. Perhaps this is precisely the secret of the exceptional aesthetic quality of the images.

L’Istituto Italiano di Cultura del Cairo presenta "Sguardi dell'Alto Egitto" di Giovanni Canova, una produzione audio-video di “Egyptian Center for Culture and Arts-Makan” a cura di Ahmed El Maghraby. Si tratta di dodici filmati con musiche inedite e/o originali che mostrano l’attivita’ dello studioso italiano Giovanni Canova in Egitto negli anni 1978-1982. Si tratta di una documentazione unica e preziosissima del patrimonio culturale e immateriale egiziano colta in un momento particolare della storia del paese e dello sviluppo della ricerca etnografica italiana. Canova legge la vita quotidiana e il paesaggio egiziano con uno sguardo che e’ allo stesso tempo orientato alla conoscenza e compartecipe delle vicende dei soggetti che ritrae. E’ un’etnografia visuale che restituisce un mondo culturale in pericolo di sparizione e un metodo di indagine fondato sull’interpretazione ricorsiva e riflessiva. Forse proprio questo e’ il segreto della eccezionale qualita’ estetica delle immagini.

يقدم المعهد الثقافي الإيطالي بالقاهرة "نظرة على صعيد مصر" ل جوفانّي كانوفا ، وهو إنتاج صوتي ومرئي للمركز المصري للثقافة والفنون-مكان، من إخراج أحمد المغربي. تُظهر هذه الفيديوهات المصحوبة بموسيقى غير منشورة و/أو أصلية، تُظهر نشاط عالم الإثنوغرافيا الإيطالي جوفانّي كانوفا في مصر في الأعوام 1978-1982. إنه توثيق فريد وثمين للغاية للتراث الثقافي وغير المادي المصري الذي تم جمعه في لحظة محددة من تاريخ البلاد وتعكس جانباّ من تطور الإثنوغرافيا الإيطالية. يقرأ كانوفا الحياة اليومية والمشهد المصري بنظرة موجهة في نفس الوقت نحو المعرفة والتأمل في أحداث الموضوعات التي يصورها. إثنوغرافيا بصرية تُعيد فى الأذهان عالمًا ثقافيًا مهدداّ بخطر الاندثار، وطريقة تحقيق تعتمد على التفسير الاستعادي والانعكاسي. ربما يكمن فيه سر القيمة الجمالية الاستثنائية للصور.
