How to calculate discount and final price

In this tutorial you will learn how to apply the discount percentage or rate to the original price.

In this tutorial I will show you 3 different methods.

Method 1
Multiply the discount rate and the original price. The product is the discount. Subtract this discount from the original price.

Method 2
Subtract the discount rate from 100 percent. This represents the percentage that you are paying of the item. Multiply this new rate by the original price to find the new discounted price.

Method 3
Apply easy percentages to the original price that you can compute in your head like, 5% and 10%. Add up the results of each of those percentages to calculate the discount. Next subtract that discount from the original price.
