Vorder Tierberg 3090m – Easy Glacier Summit with Stunning Alpine Views | Switzerland

Vorder Tierberg (3090 m) lies in the Uri Alps, right on the border between Bern and Uri.
This mountain is often used as a training peak and makes a great first contact with glacier terrain.
We started from the Umpol parking, hiking up to Tierberglihütte (2795 m) in about 1 h 40 min.
After gearing up, we continued across the glacier to the summit of Vorder Tierberg – only about 40 minutes from the hut.
An easy glacier route (L on the mountaineering scale), no crevasses, with a bit of simple rock scrambling near the top.

The weather wasn’t ideal, but the views and atmosphere made it worth every step.
Perfect short alpine trip for beginners, photographers, or anyone looking for a true high-mountain feel – without extreme difficulty.
