Skil's drills were never that great and this is a prime example of this. Their worm drive saws were awesome but their drills sucked. This is a 1/2" professional drill but is only 50% rolling bearings and 50% sleeve bearings, plastic gear box with all straight cut gears and a weak 3.5 amp motor and a under rated trigger switch that was prone to burning up. not to mention a cheap chuck.
