Talking Autonomy: Re-imagining Driving with Collaborative Autonomy

Kicking-off our second season of Talking Autonomy, Ghost Autonomy founder/CEO John Hayes gives a vision for the future of driving, and how autonomy can be built to work with the driver vs. replacing them.

John discusses the challenges with traditional driver's assistance technologies (ADAS), and how the rise of autonomy presents an opportunity to look at the entire safety stack within cars to make it much, much smarter. John explains some of the core design philosophies behind Ghost, and how Ghost establishes trust and provides both safety and comfort for the driver. Finally, John explores the opportunities of Collaborative Autonomy - where driver and machine work together and the traditional "linear control" paradigm for interfacing w/ a car is re-thought.
