LAKHPAT: Exploring the Ghost Town | Fort, Gurudwara, Narayan Sarovar, Koteshwar | Gujarat EP7

Lakhpat, a town situated in Kutch district Gujarat in Western India used to be extremely rich and prosperous (as the name suggests: LAKHpat).
And it was not at all a dry region. The SIndhu or Indus River used to flow from here and Lakhpat was a big port at that time.
After a massive earthquake, this prosperous town transformed into a Ghost town, as people call it.

While standing at the Lakhpat Fort of Kutch, One can see the massive marshy land border between India and Pakistan and the Great Rann of Kutch in the other direction.
