Wounded Giant at Hoverfest

Caught a couple songs from the Wounded Giant set at the beginning of the first annual Hoverfest, which took place Saturday, August 23rd in Portland, Oregon. The fest was made possible by Hovercraft Amplifiers, Cravedog, and Southern Cross PR, along with scores of volunteers and, of course, fans of the heavy underground scene in the Rose City!

Tad Doyle describes Seattle's Wounded Giant this way: "They like all things psychedelic and heavy and it shows from the songs and riffs that they wield with the katana sword precision of a disciplined Samurai. Together they build formidable layers that give hint to their forefathers; the likes of Sabbath and Hawkwind, with hints of Blue Cheer while retaining a fresh feel and tone that is unmistakeably their own."
