In today's life in France, we visit the old port of Saint Goustan in Auray one of our favorite Brittany tourist attractions filmed in 4K.

Auray is situated in the Morbihan region of southern Brittany, department 56 of France, and Auray itself is a popular place to visit with its lively French market every Monday but it's the port of Saint-Goustan that is the gem of Auray.

My new life in France started in 2006 where I run a pair of holiday cottages and I always recommend our guests to visit Auray especially on a Monday with its lively market and to enjoy lunch in the old port of Saint-Goustan.

Auray is just 25 minutes from us so it's a regular place for us to enjoy and unwind, as soon as you arrive at Saint-Goustan you feel time starting to slow down and you begin to relax and enjoy the fresh air of the port.

Inhabitants of Auray are called Alréens in French and Alreiz in Breton.

The river Loch cuts a deep valley in Auray and flows into the Gulf de Morbihan with the focal point being the port of Saint-Goustan.

Within the port of Saint-Goustan are a dozen so restaurants serving traditional Bretton creps and galettes, to amazing seafood and wonderful pizzas.

Whenever we visit Auray we always stroll down to the port of Saint-Goustan just to enjoy a coffee and maybe our favorite galette, a Bacon, cheese with a fried egg sat in the middle.

Sitting at the port of Saint-Goustan at Auray your find yourself in international company with American, English, and Dutch holidaymakers enjoying this wonderful Brittany tourist attraction.

In the summer months, the old port of Saint-Goustan can have live bands playing jazz music in the evening while overlooking the historic tourist spot while eating alfresco.

Auray is famous for its artist and throughout the year art festivals pop up around the port for tourists and locals to enjoy.
