Punschtorte - Pastel de Ponche - Punch Cake

A pesar de hacer un pequeño descanso durante el verano, no podía dejar de compartir con vosotros esta maravillosa delicia Punschtorte - Pastel de Ponche, para ¡celebrar mi cumpleaños! Ya sabéis, los que estáis por aquí hace tiempo, que siempre es un placer para mí el hecho de poder soplar las velas con vosotros y celebrar un año más de aprendizaje, disfrute y experiencias en la vida maravillosas e increíbles.

Se desconoce la autoría de esta elaboración. Podemos encontrarla bajo el nombre de Punschtorte, en su formato tarta, pero es mucho más popular el formato de pequeño pastel a modo de petit four. Estos se denominan #Punschkrapfen o #Punschkrapferl . El nombre le viene dado por la bebida del mismo nombre, Ponche, que se elabora principalmente con ron.

Parece ser que, además, no existe una receta original como en el caso de otras elaboraciones. Se parte de una base que, podría considerarse "es como se debe hacer", dos capas de bizcocho fino entre las que se dispone un relleno de bizcocho remojado en ron con almíbar o mermelada de albaricoque. Estos bizcochos del relleno, podían elaborarse o bien ser restos de otras elaboraciones o bizcochos "viejos".

The authorship of this elaboration is unknown. We can find it under the name of Punschtorte, in its cake format, but it is much more popular the small cake format as a petit four. These are called Punschkrapfen or Punschkrapferl. The name comes from the drink of the same name, Ponche, which is mainly made with rum.

It seems that, in addition, there is no original recipe as in the case of other elaborations. It starts with a base that could be considered "as it should be made", two layers of thin sponge cake between which a filling of sponge cake soaked in rum with syrup or apricot jam is placed. These sponge cakes of the filling could be either leftovers from other elaborations or "old" sponge cakes.
