Sri Lankan Style Puliyanam Recipe | புளியானம் | Homemade and delicious | Rinoza’s Recipes!
This Tamarind soup also known as Rasam to most of us, is also called Puliyanam in Tamil.
The tangy Tamarind and Pepper Rasam with Cumin seeds, Peppercorns, Garlic, curry leaves, and Boiled Chickpea Water, is the best liquid food you can consume when you are having a cold or the flu.
For this Puliyanam recipe, I’m using the traditional grinding stone and blender, you can use your blender. It’s a very delicious recipe. I hope you try this tasty recipe.

INGREDIENTS :
Small Tomato - 1
Red Onion – ½ (half)
Green Chilli - 1
Salt - 1 tsp
Boiled Chickpea Water – 600ml
Curry leaves
Cumin seeds – 3 tsp
Black Peppercorns – 1 tsp
Tamarind - 40g
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - ½ tsp
Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
Hot water - 200ml
