This video is about Imprint-- the Pilates term for the 'flexed spine' core position that provides stability (and core structural integrity) while you exercise.
I learned how to imprint during Pilates teacher training, and it helped me overcome chronic lower back pain due to excessive hyperextension.
As someone with lumbar lordosis and anterior pelvic tilt-- learning how to imprint was powerful reset for my core, helped me get so much stronger, and feel more 'core connected' in my strength.
Imprinting while you do low-to-medium impact exercise can be a very useful way to strengthen your abs and core, release your low back from negative stress, and help you manage your lumbar lordosis.
Hopefully this video can help you get started in a pain-free way. I will be post some 'Imprint' workout videos later this week, so we can practice together on the mat!
Please comment if you have a question, and I will try my best to answer it promptly. Other people may be thinking the same thing!
Best, Matthew
