1964 Holiday to Lido di Jesolo

This film documents how package holidays were operated in 1964. If the ferry ride across the channel to Europe was tooo much the other option was a ride on a prop plane across the water and then the never-ending coach journey to your final destination. It was still fun and there were lots of thing to see on the way. There were no tunnels through the Alps so the coaches made there way up and down the hairpin bends as long as the roads were passable.

This film covers the journey to and from Lido di Jesolo and includes a couple of visits to Venice and the surrounding islands.
