In this documentary, we shine a light on some of the unsung heroines of Ghana's fight for independence from British colonial rule and their various contributions.
It features interviews with Ghanaian film director Aseye Tamakloe and Ghanaian poet Poetra Asantewa.
It also features footage from

Theodosia Salome Okoh a Ghanaian Teacher, artist and sportswoman Theodosia Salome Abena Kumea Okoh (nee Asihene) famous for designing the flag of Ghana following its independence from Britain.
Hannah Kudjoe, one of the prominent but often
unacknowledged collaborators of Ghana’s fight for independence from British colonial rule in the 1940s and 50s.
Agnes Oforiwa Tagoe-Quarcoopome, a respected Ghanaian business
woman and activist who played an active role in the then Gold Coast attaining independence from British colonial rule.
Ama Nkrumah
Ama Nkrumah [her real name is unknown] was a political activist during and after Ghana’s fight for independence from British colonial rule.
It is believed that she had a personal relationship with Dr. Kwame Nkrumah (hence her taking on an identical name as Ghana’s first president), and served in several political positions.
