Fighting during the Continuation War in 1944, Finnish soldier Aimo Koivunen and his patrol came under Soviet attack. As they fled, Koivunen had a hard time keeping up. To help, he reached for the unit's supply of Pervitin he was carrying for the unit. Opening it was difficult with his gloves and he accidently spilled 30 pills into his hand. Panicking, he took all 30.
For the next two week, high out of his mind, Koivunen traveled an estimated 250 miles in freezing temperatures with various 'adventures' all along the way.
