In the university exams papers, this is how the question is asked check whether the given function the equation a rotational flow is or irrotational flow if the given equation is in terms of X & Y axis rotation will be considered in the Z axis if the given equation velocity V is in terms of Y and Z then rotational will be along the X-axis. Usually, the equation will be in X and Y then find out the rotational component along the Z axis.
