Pottery Studio Vlog Episode 9, Heat Wave, Bead Week and Lots of Trays.

Welcome to Summer in the studio! I’ve been traveling a lot and it’s been so hot that I have not been able to run kilns or work as much in the studio as usual. Because of this I’ve combined most of July into one vlog episode.
I really need to take better care of my garden but I’ve been so busy(even if it is too hot in the studio to work it’s not too hot to make rolling pins and rim templates!) I’m going to try and set aside a little time each day and weed the garden so it will not be so overwhelming.
Any suggestions for low maintenance plants are always welcome!
It’s been so hot that we were not able to do our Wednesday broadcasts. We did make a trip to our local Home Depot and get a few window air conditioners which hopefully will help cool it down!

I did get to fire the leaf pendant using microwave Raku! It turned out better than I had hoped. The glaze I used is Mayco Raku glaze in Copper Penny.

I made so many trays! That means there will be lots of glaze classes coming soon for everyone. The Cute Sushi mini roller is too cute, I just love it and can’t wait to see what everyone makes with it!
