Does MINIMALISM Make You HAPPIER? | How a minimalist lifestyle can lead to happiness

Today I want to talk about happiness, and how minimalism can play a role in it.
No doubt most, if not all of us, want to be happy. But, what does that really mean? How can we take steps to improve happiness in our own lives?

By taking a look at Maslow's hierarchy of needs - that pyramid we learned about in grade school - we find a clue that can guide us in that direction. We only need to make sure all of our levels of the hierarchy are in balance!

This is where minimalism comes in. By eliminating the excess / un-necessary 'things' from our lives, we simplify the foundation of the pyramid. This gives us more time, energy, and brain power to achieve the levels that can bring us TRUE happiness and fulfillment.

The psychology of minimalism is that a person KNOWS that their basic needs are met, and are content with that fact. This gives the mind a sense of freedom from worry, guilt, and overwhelm.
