The Evolution of Nikki Barbie Doll: From 1959 to Today

Nicole Nikki O'Neil is a Mattel fashion doll, one of Barbie's best friends. But Her character debuted in 1996 as part of the "Teen Skipper" line. Nikki was originally released as Skipper's first African American friend. But Since 2005 she has replaced Christie as one of Barbie's friends. So Nikki begins to oust Christie and become one of Barbie's best friends.
