Yogyakarta’s BEST DAY TRIP? | Sunrise, Temples, & Getting SOAKED in a Jeep (Indonesia)

This was an epic day through Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

We start the day with a (not-so-great) sunrise at Punthuk Setumbu and from there, we head to the Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the world and one of TWO UNESCO World Heritage Site's that we visit today.

The weather around Mount Merapi wasn't playing ball (it was too cloudy!) and we weren't able to see the top of Indonesia’s most active volcano. That being said, our guide takes us through the remnants of the 2010 eruption, a visit to the mysterious Alien Stone and then getting soaked in the river as he floors it through the water!

Our last stop is a visit to Prambanan Temple, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and the nearby Sewu Temple too! This will be our SECOND UNESCO World Heritage Site today.
