Join me on the first day of my 3 day packrafting / hiking adventure in a remote corner of the Scottish Highlands. Scotland delivered a bit of everything on this first day; from midges, to rain showers and wind. Fortunately, the wind was in my favor on this day and it helped me to quickly complete my 10 mile paddle down the first loch and begin my hike to the next where I set up camp for the night in a beautiful forest. The Highlands are beautiful but harsh environment and it delivered in every way.
