As she nears her 18th birthday, Princess Victoria of Kent receives another request from King William to visit His Majesty at Court - as he grows older and more frail, the ailing King is eager to draw the Princess, his beloved niece and only rightful heir, away from the forced seclusion and selfish machinations of her mother, the Duchess of Kent and her scheming secretary, Sir John Conroy.
