Columbus State University celebrated the accomplishments of seven graduating seniors who are on the CSU baseball team and, because the team is still competing in playoffs, won't be able to walk during their graduation ceremony on May 9.
CSU President Stuart Rayfield presented the seven players with their degrees earlier this week during a program at CSU's Lumpkin Center introducing the unversity's new athletic director Justin Hay to the community.
The CSU baseball team has secured a spot in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship Series and will play Lander in a best-of-three series beginning May 8.
An estimated 1,055 CSU students make up its Spring 2025 graduating class. Six graduation-related events May 8-9 will celebrate the graduates.
