Norwegian duo Aiming for Enrike are excited to share the news of their first-ever live albums, scheduled to land on 7 March and 20 June through Jansen Records. These releases capture the raw intensity and spontaneous spirit that have defined the band’s stage performances over the last two years, offering fans a rare opportunity to experience their evolving live sound in recorded form.

“We have a bunch of shows recorded from two years of touring and we decided to go through what we had and pick some favorites for our very first live record. And it ended up being enough for two full-lengths,” says Aiming for Enrike, reflecting on the decision to divide the material across two albums rather than condensing it into a single release.

The live recordings were taken at multiple venues, including Parkteateret in Oslo, Gala Hala in Ljubljana, Tyven in Trondheim, and Fever in Tokyo. In addition to the audio, video material is set to be released in the near future, revealing more of the stage interplay and gear wizardry behind these performances. The visual material is taken from concerts at Oslo’s Øyafestivalen and Fever in Tokyo.

Guitarist Simen Folstad Nilsen adds:
“We feel good about sharing live recordings. We do things without any backing track or anything, so there is always a very human element to our live shows with all the looping and various other things that can go wrong at any point. It gives it a certain energy that we feel like we were able to catch in these recordings.”

Each album features carefully chosen highlights from different cities and tour legs, offering a broad snapshot of Aiming for Enrike’s dynamic performances. The tracks include unfiltered moments, mistakes-turned-musical-opportunities, and extended improvisations that echo the duo’s willingness to experiment each night.

Aiming for Enrike is a Norwegian two-piece known for their intricate loop-based guitar lines, driving percussion, and commitment to creating full-band energy without the aid of backing tracks. Over multiple tours, they’ve carved out a unique presence on the live music scene, drawing listeners in with rhythmic interplay and a flair for spontaneous experimentation. The band’s new live albums mark an important milestone, shedding light on their on-the-spot creativity and capturing the spirit of each show.

Live 23/24 (Vol. 1) will be released on Jansen Records on March 7th, 2025.
