Watch as 2025 Miracle Riders leave Columbus on 21-day, 9,500 round-trip journey

The Miracle Riders left Columbus, Georgia on Friday morning, starting a 21-day motorcycle ride to raise awareness of the Columbus State University nursing program and and additional funds for a neonatal intensive care unit simulation lab at the school. Scott Ressmeyer, co-owner of Country's Barbecue and Miracle Ride founder, is being joined on the trip by 13 more riders. Ressmeyer spoke during a brief departure ceremony in front of CSU's Frank Brown Hall. Margie Yates, dean of CSU's College of Education & Health Professions welcomed riders and spectators to the ceremony, and Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley, who has done several of the rides in previous years, offered a prayer before the riders departed.
