At the end of **December 2025**, I recorded yet another detailed update video on the **New Yamuna Railway Bridge**, a project I have been closely tracking for many years. This video captures one of the most crucial milestones in the journey of this long-delayed bridge.

In this update, the *CRS (Commissioner of Railway Safety) inspection has already been completed* using a motor trolley. Before this inspection, *static and dynamic load testing* was carried out by placing a locomotive on the bridge through a **temporary track connection**, ensuring structural stability and safety.

One of the biggest updates this time is that *electrification work on the new bridge is now fully complete**. The **OHE masts, catenary wires, and contact wires* have been installed throughout the bridge, marking a major step toward operational readiness.

The video begins from **Old Delhi Railway Station**, passing alongside the **Red Fort**, and then transitions onto the **New Yamuna Railway Bridge**, giving a rare visual of Delhi’s railway heritage and its future side by side.

As per the process, after the *CRS observation report* is submitted to the *Railway Board**, **train trials* will be conducted. Only if all parameters are found satisfactory, the bridge will move towards commissioning.
At present, there is a **strong possibility of inauguration in 2026**, though any issues in CRS observations could still delay the opening.

The construction of this bridge dates back to *around 1998**, and over the years it faced multiple hurdles. One major reason for the delay was the intervention of the **Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)* due to the bridge’s proximity to heritage structures, which forced *alignment changes* and redesigns.

CRS निरीक्षण से पहले, ब्रिज पर *टेंपरेरी कनेक्शन देकर लोकोमोटिव के ज़रिये स्टैटिक और डायनेमिक लोड टेस्ट* भी सफलतापूर्वक किए गए।

इस बार का सबसे अहम अपडेट यह है कि **नए ब्रिज पर इलेक्ट्रिफिकेशन का काम पूरी तरह से पूरा हो चुका है**।
पूरे ब्रिज पर *OHE मास्ट, कैटनरी वायर और कांटेक्ट वायर* डाल दी गई है, जो इसे संचालन के और करीब ले जाती है।

वीडियो की शुरुआत *पुरानी दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन* से होती है, जहाँ लाल किले के पास से ट्रेन गुजरती है और फिर नया यमुना रेलवे ब्रिज शुरू होता है — एक तरफ 150+ साल पुरानी रेलवे विरासत और दूसरी तरफ भविष्य का आधुनिक इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर।

CRS निरीक्षण के बाद अब अगला चरण है *CRS ऑब्ज़र्वेशन रिपोर्ट का रेलवे बोर्ड को सौंपा जाना**। इसके बाद **ट्रेन ट्रायल* किए जाएंगे।
यदि सभी पैरामीटर सही पाए जाते हैं, तभी इस ब्रिज को कमीशन किया जाएगा।

फिलहाल, **2026 में इस ब्रिज के उद्घाटन की संभावना जताई जा रही है**, हालांकि CRS रिपोर्ट में यदि कोई तकनीकी आपत्ति आती है तो उद्घाटन में देरी भी हो सकती है। फिर भी हम सकारात्मक रूप से उम्मीद कर रहे हैं कि अगले साल यह ऐतिहासिक ब्रिज चालू हो जाएगा।

इस ब्रिज का निर्माण **लगभग 1998 के आसपास शुरू हुआ था**, लेकिन इसमें कई बड़ी बाधाएँ आईं।
सबसे बड़ी वजह रही *Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)* की आपत्तियाँ, क्योंकि यह इलाका ऐतिहासिक धरोहरों के बेहद करीब है। इसी कारण **एलाइनमेंट बदलना पड़ा**, डिज़ाइन में बदलाव हुए और प्रोजेक्ट कई साल पीछे चला गया।
