Loose watercolor landscape technique

Be transported to a stunning bluebell meadow in this mini class with my friend, travel artist Shelly Perkins. In this video we'll see Shelly working outdoors 'en plein air' and she'll talk us through the process she followed when she transformed the breathtaking view into a lively, colourful landscape painting with line and wash. The loose watercolor landscape technique and tips Shelly demonstrates here can be applied to your own landscape artwork too.

Shelly and I have known each other for about 15 years. We fisrt met when we both exhibited with the Nature In Art museum at the Art in Action festival in Oxfordshire. I was captivated by her art and have bought several prints for my own home. This mini class is a short overview of a full length tutorial available to Nature Studio members. The full length class is step-by-step, and comes with a traceable outline drawing, reference photos, suggested paints to use plus the ability to ask for support if you need it.
