'The Naked Truth: Britain's Cyber Sperm Donors' exposes the shady world of unregulated online sperm donation. It's a growing phenomenon; with dozens of dedicated websites and Facebook groups offering to pair women seeking a donor with a man willing to donate. It's legal but totally unregulated.
Reporter Kit Bradshaw speaks to the gay women pressured into having sex by male donors, the men habitually using these sites, and the experts calling for a change in the law to offer better protection to everyone involved.
The film was a double award-winner at the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) Awards 2016, picking up the award for Best TV Documentary and the Steve Harris Award for Best Original Story.
The awards' judges described it as a "strong example of journalistic endeavour combined with great storytelling" and "serious journalism" with "a real investigative aspect". They added it "shines a light on a murky world."
