Starting ballet as an adult has changed me more than I ever expected.
In this new video I’m reflecting on my ballet journey in 2025, a year where I actually completed every single goal I set for myself (I think). These videos are incredibly important to document because it’s so easy to forget where you were a year ago (or even a month ago). Somedays it feels like I’m backtracking and making old mistakes over and over again or I’m just stuck and not progressing because ballet is SO DANG HARD. But then I look back on the previous years’ video, and can see the GROWTH with my own eyes.
I also share my ballet goals for 2026 (there are MANY) and where I hope this path leads next. I feel so hopeful about my ballet journey.
This video is for adult ballet dancers, late starters, return to ballet dancers, and anyone who began something later in life and stayed with it. Progress doesn’t always look drastic, but it all adds up. There will always be something to work on with ballet and you will constantly be improving but don’t forget to appreciate where you are right now.
If you enjoy these videos, please like and subscribe to my YouTube channel, it helps my channel find more lovely folks such as yourself. I am 30 subs away from hitting 6k!
What are your goals for 2026 (ballet and beyond)? What passions are your pursuing? What are you proud of for 2025?
