We Asked Kids: What Does Your Dream Schoolyard Look Like?

No child dreams of playing on hot asphalt. And yet, more than 2.5 million K-12 students in California attend schools with less than 5 percent tree canopy in their play areas.

That’s why TreePeople is currently in the process of greening more than two dozen school campuses here in Southern California, to help make them greener, cooler, and healthier for generations to come.

When we begin these school greening projects, we make sure to ask students–what would YOU like to see in your dream schoolyard?
