The only reason we got the spot we did (literally in the penalty box at the University of Minnesota’s ice hockey rink) was because that’s where the hardline internet connection was. Based on an incident a day earlier in the Mall of America with Joe Theismann, we knew wifi was a race w the devil. Grizzled media veterans that we were/are, it was hardline or DEATH. We scoped out the penalty box on our own volition and found and configured the hardline connection ourselves - and broadcast from the penalty box. So fitting on so many levels. But we did such a good job, the refs on the field began funneling the players to us for interviews.
