Kannappa एक तेलुगू भाषा की फैंटेसी फिल्म है जो कि हिन्दू माइथोलॉजी पर आधारित है. इस फिल्म में तीन बड़े बड़े सुपरस्टार्स हमें देखने को मिल रहे हैं जिसमें अक्षय कुमार ने लॉर्ड शिवा का रोल किया है जहाँ मोहनलाल का भी कैमियो है जबकि प्रभास ने फिल्म में नंदी का रोल किया है।

आपकी जानकारी के लिए बता दें कि कन्नाप्पा असल में हिंदू माइथोलॉजी से लिया गया स्टोरी है जो भगवान शिव का सबसे बड़ा भक्त होता है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि उन्होंने भोलेनाथ को खुश करने के लिए उन्होंने अपनी 1 आँख भेंट कर दी थी और जब वह अपनी दूसरी आंख भेंट देने वाले थे तब जाकर शंकर भगवान प्रकट हुए और उन्हें दर्शन दिए।

इस फिल्म का 80% शूटिंग न्यूज़ीलैंड में हुआ है जहाँ फिल्म की टीम ने बोहोत सारे रियल लोकेशंस पर शूटिंग की। न्यूजीलैंड के इन सारे लोकेशन पर लैंडस्केप और पुराने शहर हैं जो कि इस फिल्म की स्क्रिप्ट में परफेक्ट बैठती थी।
