This is hands down one of the best cultivation game i have ever played, it's like it was tailored for me. I first started on Mobile, android. When i started i couldn't do anything as i didn't know how the game works and i started in Hard mode so my first character ended up dying to a random Foundation cultivator. After that i started a easy character to see how to actually play the game and damn i played for a week straight all i could think about was this game. If you like roguelikes , Xian xia, the feeling of constant progression and constant opposition. This games just does it. If you like these cultivation novels like me you might know like Wu dong qian kun, Emperor's Domination etc etc. This game captures the feeling so well, first you bid for an item in a auction, piss off somebody, then he comes and argues with you deepening the hatred, after that he comes and try to steal an item, now you got a choice. Let him go or kill him, both will eventually just piss off the bigger cultivators in his family which then come for you and make you run for your life. Then feeling the blade on your neck, you cultivate , become stronger go and get revenge on those older and stronger cultivator after 10 years . And their Sect master comes out. Man this is literally 20 chapters of Emperor's domination made into a game.
In my mobile character, He was a Thunder cultivator and since it was easy mode , you get more resources drops and more currency to spend. So my character went for the "Heaven" class breakthrough every time significantly reducing cultivation time. I don't think that will change just because I'm playing a Hard mode character now. That Thunder cultivator was just Zapping around and throwing thunder on everybody it was so damn satisfying. At first i chose the following bug destiny which gave me a bug that at lvl 1 just did a slam attack, lvl 2 did a bigger slam attack, lvl 3 he attacked faster, then lvl 4 he became able to normal attack then when you use a skill to move away from him , he enrages and increases his attack speed and damage. Halfway through i got tons of thunder fruits and ended up changing my destiny to Jo's sword which does normal attacks and inflict status effect while doing Thunder damage and then pumping Thunder to a ridiculous amount that i could fight people above my level.
Highly recommend you don't touch the girls event quests, as they give you overpowered skills at a low level. But if you don't care about that and want to make a harem , by all means go ahead. Once you complete their storylines they will periodically help you along, either by giving you medicines , materials or help you learn manuals. Also, you might wanna do a easy mode character to get a feel of the system before switching over to the other modes, i think hard mode is good enough because the other modes looks to be too punishing for me.
As for the first 3 Things, at the beginning of the game, The Eye you can see in the video, i never chose the middle one before. But the last one, That one is a cheat code. It gives you the ability to capture enemy bosses / elites to become Imps that you can send out to gather stuff for you or assign to guard you. I have caught monsters 2 levels above my cultivation lvl and just roll enemies with it. It's like having a secret Elder guard that you can just call every 30 secs.
Now, this game does cost money yes. like 30+ bucks on steam? about the same on mobile, though it will be cheaper if you just dont buy the DLCs. But hey, you reach somewhere in the middle of the cultivation lvl like i think it was called Nascent Soul Stage 6? Some of the cultivators there you fight em and it is fking nuts, swords flying everywhere, Fire covering the screen, thunder flashing everywhere, the skills just goes nuts in this game i love it. I think its worth the money. Not to mention the bosses are actually pretty good in this game, if you did end up choosing the gourd, it also becomes like a monster taming game then. Knowing a bit of Chinese is an added bonus as sometimes the PC translation fails sometimes idk why , but it just adds more context i haven't seen it stop progression because its and item or something.
Mobile and PC has slight difference like, in combat mobile is auto aim while in PC you have to aim yourself , in that learning manuals you just have to tap the blue ones don't need to touch the red ones. Not sure if later in the game there's much other difference yet.
I don't think farming will be done in the videos, as it does get pretty grindy and since its hard mode it will be even more worse.
Btw, if after you buy it doesnt start, or it starts but stops. Its some issue with the language i went and read up on it, you just gotta change some settings at windows settings - time and language - windows display language - use unicode UTF-8. Then restart , and it will start running.
