Released exclusively for the original Xbox console in North America on October 26, 2004, this remake of the original iteration utilizes the same graphics engine that was used to develop Dead or Alive 3, released three years earlier. Additionally, it contains elements and mechanics from both the original version of DOA2 and DOA3. [see bottom of description for source citation]
