How to Crochet the Rosebud Stitch 🌷 Step-by-Step Tutorial

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to crochet the Rosebud Stitch, perfect for summer projects. It’s a two-row repeat that uses puff stitches for texture, and while it’s an intermediate stitch, I’ve broken it down step by step so ambitious beginners can follow along too. Written Pattern (US Terms)
ch a multiple of 8+2
Row 1: (sc, ch2, sc) in 2nd ch from hook, *sk3, (exp, ch1, exp, ch1, exp) in next ch, sk3, (sc, ch2, sc) in next ch*; repeat across, turn.
Row 2: ch3, (exp, ch1, exp) in sp, sk3, (sc, ch2, sc) in next st, *sk3, (exp, ch1, exp, ch1, exp) in next sp, sk3, (sc, ch2, sc) in next st*; repeat across until last few st, sk3, (exp, ch1, exp) in sp, turn.
Row 3: ch1, (sc, ch2, sc) in next st, *sk3, (exp, ch1, exp, ch1, exp) in next sp, sk3, (sc, ch2, sc) in next st*; repeat across, turn.
Repeat Rows 2 & 3 until desired length.

Abbreviations (US Terms)
ch = chain
exp = extended puff stitch
sc = single crochet
sp = space
st = stitch
means to repeat everything between the asterisks
