New Orleans jail escape: 7 of 10 inmates still on the loose

Gov. Jeff Landry was joined by FBI New Orleans Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Tapp and LSP Superintendent Colonel Robert Hodges to discuss the ongoing investigative efforts to locate the remaining Orleans Parish Prison fugitives. Numerous local, state and federal public safety representatives were also present at the briefing. Ten inmates escaped from the jail on Friday, including a convicted killer. Officials say there’s evidence they received help from someone inside the sheriff’s department.
