First in 2015 at a Hennessy Gala in New York, where I captured some of the best photos of my career.
Second, while filming the Murder Inc. documentary in Los Angeles, where we talked about art, legacy, and even Mississippi.
And third, behind the lens filming the New York State of Mind Tour with Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, and Busta Rhymes.
But the real story isn’t just about meeting Nas.
It’s about how one documentary — Time Is Illmatic — pushed me to leave everything behind in the south, move to New York, and chase my dream as a filmmaker.
