I wanted to share a simple message as we start the new year. I am sure that the past year has been an eventful year for all of us. You may have achieved your goals. Sometimes, that wouldn't have been possible for many reasons. Nevertheless, we all deserve a good break and start the new year with a fresh mind. This simple video is an invitation to enjoy simplicity in this holiday season.

The video shows the process of drawing a pair of pears using colour pencils. This is a simple and basic sketching exercise that I recommend to anyone who is interested in art. There are two main aspects of the this sketch. First, I start with basic shapes and make sure that I have right shapes and proportions. Second, I colour the shades. Only two colours are used in this exercise and you can get a more artistic look if you have more colours.
