LAFD Pickup Truck Fire Exposing Garage: FS72 (Woodland Hills)

Los Angeles Fire Department Engine 72 was dispatched to the 19800 block of Victory Boulevard for a reported auto fire. They arrived on scene to find a well involved pickup truck fire in an alleyway exposing a garage. Engine 72 requested a structure fire response and began fire attack. An additional vehicle was also starting to catch fire with the driver inside. The driver was advised to get out of the vehicle by firefighters while a good samaritan arrived and used an extinguisher to put out that fire. The driver escaped without injury. Additional companies arrived to assist 72's with checking the garage for any extension. Some extension was found inside the converted, detached garage but did not spread to the residence. It took 20 minutes for firefighters to achieve a knockdown. No injuries were reported.
