The Rakwana–Suriyakanda road is famous for its 10 bends, similar to the iconic Kandy–Mahiyanganaya 18 bends. Previously, this road was very narrow and challenging to drive. However, by April 2025, about 60% – 70% of road construction work was completed, transforming it into a wider two-way highway. Once fully finished, it will become one of the most beautiful and convenient hill country roads in Sri Lanka.
