Sentinel-5P, launched in 2017 under the European Space Agency’s Copernicus program, plays a vital role in the systematic monitoring of Earth’s atmosphere. Equipped with the TROPOMI instrument, it provides an extensive range of atmospheric data — from tropospheric pollutants and greenhouse gases to aerosols and cloud cover. One of its key products is nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) concentration, which is distributed in NetCDF format and widely used for research on air quality and environmental change.
I had earlier shared a video on downloading Sentinel-5P data, but since the data access and downloading process has recently changed, this latest video will guide you through the updated workflow. We’ll walk step by step through the new download method and show how to open and analyze Sentinel-5P data in both SNAP software and ArcGIS Pro.
