Let's get ready to spend the evening in one of the most beautiful and serene places in the state of Washington. The Enchantments is one of the most sought out hikes that many people come to Washington to explore.

You will need your Northwest Forest Park to park. They also have a fee station at the entrance of the trailhead to pay for parking.

For this particular visit, we will be spending the evening camping at Lake Stuart. The hike itself was moderately challenging mainly due to carrying a heavy backpack for my camping equipment.

Hiking to Lake Stuart is ~8.5 miles roundtrip hike with an elevation gain of ~1800ft. The hike is mostly shaded, but there are some area's where the sun will shine down so make sure to have some sunblock available to reduce sunburns.

Mosquitoes and other small nasty critters will be plentiful here so I highly recommend wearing one of those mosquito nettings around your face or can always go the conventional route and purchase some mosquito repellants as needed.

In order for you to camp at Lake Stuart, you WILL NEED TO HAVE a permit. Permits are available, but are VERY HARD to come by.
