Headcannon:
As a person who feels everything a wee bit dramatically and deeply, I can’t imagine Lady Gisela going about her plan without feeling absolutely torn apart that she has to hurt her only son in the process… even though in her mind she thinks it’ll lead to a better life for him and their world.
Some people are downright bad people who have no remorse for anyone or anything. But in a book i think that a more complex villain makes a story feel so much more alive.
Ive noticed that when a book has a villain that I can relate to, it makes the story more believable… like how in Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes you can’t help but like Snow… and sympathize with him…
Lady Gisela doesn’t get enough time in the series to be revealed as a character like this, BUT, in Stellerlune we did get a glimpse of her before keefe was born, which is some nice lore I’d say :)
So, basically what im saying is in my brain i like the idea of Gisela feeling guilty every time she hurts her son, or when she trusts someone who betrays her, or when one of her followers dies doing something she planned :D


Also, for the part where there’s a smirking keefe with the neverseen outfit with the mirrored frowning keefe where it says “tell your baby I’m your baby” that’s keefe asking his mom to accept that he’s not who she wants him to be and that the “baby” in her mind is not really what he is or wants.

Recently ive noticed myself complaining a lot about KotLC, and there are definitely things id like to change about the story, but I also want to point out how incredibly complex this story truly is… and how much it lets my, and everyone else in this fandom’s, creativity truly flourish.
Without it, I wouldn’t be making any of these videos :)
