During the day, Connor, Amaya, and Greg discover a shocking video: "New & Improved" versions of the PJ Masks and Power Heroes destroying the playground! They realize Romeo (A young villain scientist wearing a long white lab coat, teal gloves, black boots, large goggles on forehead, and messy black hair with a white streak) is trying to replace them with stronger, robotic copies.
At night, the PJ Masks arrive to face Romeo's terrifying masterpiece: The Power Clones—robot versions of Catboy , Owlette , Gekko , An Yu , Newton Star , and Ice Cub , all featuring bulky armor and glowing red eyes. Romeo boasts that his Power Clones have "200% more power" and demonstrates by having Clone An Yu create a destructive tornado. The real heroes are quickly overpowered by the clones' superior strength.
The stakes become astronomical as the out-of-control Power Clones begin destroying the city, targeting the PJ Masks HQ and the Mystery Mountain portal. Newton Star realizes the clones have power but "don't have a bond". The Power Heroes unite for an unexpected strategy: Newton Star uses his Asteroid Shield to group the clones together, Ice Cub creates a massive ice patch to make them slip, and the original PJ Masks use a combined Super Gekko Grip / Owl Wing Wind combo to launch a net and trap the glitching robots.
Kids will discover lessons on Unity and Friendship—proving that being the strongest doesn't matter if you can't work together, and that a united team is always stronger than a group of individuals.
