I Found | Spencer + Aria (AU)

This video has been a long time coming. When I first started vidding, I could only dream of making something like this because I had poor quality scenes and very basic editing software. But now, seven years later, I’ve clipped almost every episode of PLL in HD and I’ve moved on to Adobe Premiere Pro. It’s honestly amazing how far I’ve come, and how much I still love Sparia! I hope this vid does them justice and gives any fellow shippers a glimpse of how things could have been.

The Story:

The video starts with Spencer and Aria in an uncertain place. Between flashbacks and voiceovers, we learn that there was something Spencer needed to tell Aria (you can guess what lol). We see that Aria is now engaged, but is unsure about marrying Ezra. Meanwhile, Spencer has just broken up with Caleb because her heart belongs to someone else.

Flashing back to high school, we learn that Ella knows the truth about Aria’s feelings for Spencer. But Aria is dating Noel. Unfortunately, he finds out the truth as well, and Aria begs him not to tell anyone. Spencer learns that Noel is going to blackmail Aria, so to keep Aria safe, Spencer starts avoiding her. It takes a toll on Spencer, but she’s nothing if not determined. She kisses Wren in front of Aria to finally get her point across: They can’t be together. Later, Aria confronts Spencer before walking away from her, leaving Spencer to stare longingly after her.

Then, Aria meets Ezra Fitz. Suspicious of him, Spencer does her research and becomes convinced that he’s ‘A’. Desperate to find proof and protect Aria, she starts abusing Adderall. Eventually, she unravels her way into Radley Sanitarium.

After Spencer returns home, Ezra is shot on the rooftop in New York and Aria is distraught. She forgives him for writing his book about Alison. Spencer checks on Aria, but dodges any sort of conversation about what prompted her to take Ezra down. Later, Hanna tells her she could have told Aria the truth about her feelings, so Spencer decides to write Aria an email confessing her love. She doesn’t send it and they go to prom with different people.

Five years later, Spencer tries again, this time sending a letter to Aria. But it’s too late; Aria is getting married to Ezra. Aria works with A.D. as in canon. Determined to take over Spencer’s life and be with Aria, Alex kidnaps Spencer on Ezra and Aria’s wedding day, but Spencer outsmarts her and escapes. Once it’s all over, Aria tells Spencer that she can’t marry Ezra.

Finally, Spencer and Aria get together :D
