We're About To Do Something Crazy

We're flying to North America for the biggest Bottle Shock adventure yet. This is happening. Here's everything you need to know.

The Trip:
We're spending two weeks travelling from San Francisco down through California, across to LA, and into Mexico—all while camping in Napa, staying in hostels, and running on frequent flyer points and the kindness of friends. This is independent media on a budget, and somehow we made it work.

The Itinerary:
✓ San Francisco → Sonoma → Napa (camping at a ranch hostel)
✓ Mount Eden Vineyards with Miles from Discord
✓ Meeting Raj Parr (massive moment for Brendan)
✓ LA wine sales competition - three teams, one day, $500 USD to the winning rep
✓ Blind tasting with Peter Koff MW
✓ Crossing the border to Mexico to make wine with Maurizio from Somos
✓ Filming 7 videos throughout the trip

How We're Doing This:
We burnt frequent flyer points for flights, we're camping instead of hotels ($20-30/night vs $500+), staying with friends, and packing everything into camping gear the size of a sleeping bag. Total budget: under $10,000 AUD for all three of us.

The Challenges:

Noah only bringing one pair of shoes (what he's wearing on the plane)
Brendan going full minimalist emperor's new clothes
Henry bringing three pairs of shoes and getting roasted for it
Camping in Napa during harvest
Navigating Mexico (with strict "don't go out after dark" warnings)
Testing new 360 camera tech for the podcast
