Type 1 AC Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) are heavy-duty devices designed to be installed at the origin of AC installations equipped with a Lightning Protection System (LPS).

According to the electrical installation standards, if a lightning rod is used on a building, a type one SPD must be installed inside the main electrical panel.

An electrical certification is necessary to operate inside electrical cabinets. Before starting, the installation must be switched off. A voltage controller is used to ensure that the electrical system is no longer energized.

We will install a LSP Type 1 surge protective device (SPD) and its associated disconnector.

In accordance with the installation standards and guides, the AC power surge protective devices (SPDs) must be protected against possible short circuit end-of-life. For this reason, We will associate in the SPD branch, the disconnector equipped with the fuses.
