Ducati Streetfighter V2 S (MY 2025) RAW Onboard 4K

I was lucky enough to briefly test the 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V2 S in perfect weather conditions.

Ducati’s new V2 is simply a dream – probably the best "small" V2 the brand has ever built and overall one of the best engines I've ever ridden. I definitely won’t miss the Desmodromic system. The engine runs incredibly smoothly, responds beautifully to throttle input, and revs up with serious force. According to Ducati, at least 80% of the maximum torque is already available at low RPM – and yes, you can feel it. I honestly don’t need more power for riding on country roads. Despite complying with EURO 5+ regulations, the sound is still convincing, and the bike crackles nicely on throttle-off – but in a socially acceptable way.
I can’t wait to experience this engine in a Monster or a new Hypermotard.

The chassis and suspension – fully equipped by Öhlins – are beyond reproach. The bike is unbelievably precise and reacts almost telepathically to every input.
This outstanding package is rounded off with excellent, finely controllable Brembo brakes – though unfortunately the rear brake squeals noticeably.
My only real criticism is the ergonomics. The handlebar is fairly wide, but mounted quite low, which puts a lot of weight on your wrists – unless you actively compensate with core strength. It surprisingly leans toward the ergonomics of the Panigale V2. The saddle could also offer a bit more room. The larger V4 is noticeably more upright and comfortable. However, other riders I spoke with didn’t find the V2’s ergonomics to be as uncomfortable.

That’s a real shame, because otherwise, there would be nothing stopping me from putting this bike in my garage.
